Construction of the 37 storey tower began in late 2018 and included the sensitive refurbishment of the 142 year old heritage listed Porter House building next door. The stand out façade boasts beautifully crafted off form concrete domes on the lower floors which perfectly complement the repetitive moulded sandstone vaneer of Porter House. The Porter House Hotel by MGallery offers 121 luxury hotel rooms over 10 levels. The building, formerly known as Dixson & Sons Tobacco Factory, was originally constructed circa 1876 in Victorian Classic Style and has a significant presence on the Castlereagh streetscape even with its relatively sympathetic scale. This development ensures it continues to be an important piece of the urban fabric, especially with its close proximity to the adjacent St George's Free Presbyterian Church.

Both residents and hotel guests enjoy a range of amenities between the two buildings.
